After her return from Japan where she worked in airport operations at FedEx, Lotte Tisenkopfa-Iltnere founded an organic cosmetics manufacturing company with the brand name MADARA. Soon after its beginning in 2006, MADbecame the top-selling cosmetics brand in Latvia as well as a national women entrepreneurship success story. Madara is currently exported to 25 countries, top markets include Denmark, Finland, Switzerland, Japan.

Lotte Tisenkopfa-Iltnere has received numerous entrepreneurship awards. The Madara case has been featured in several EU business research publications. In Latvia she is a well-known natural cosmetics expert and the creator of the Safe Cosmetics Academy.
